We are thrilled to announce a partnership with Zuri, an ethical fashion company based in Nairobi, Kenya. Zuri believes that sustainable economies develop from businesses that operate fairly and ethically and create products that people want.
These one-of-a-kind bags feature an image by Everyday Africa photographer Yagazie Emezi, a Nigerian artist and self-taught photojournalist focused on stories surrounding African women and their health, sexuality, education and human rights. Her art practice uses photography and sculpture to construct visual critiques of Nigeria's socio-political state and the roles media play in it, pulling from history and current events.
The rest of the bag is made up of materials leftover at Zuri’s shop, meaning that each bag is unique, environmentally friendly, and tote-ally yours.
In the last decade, The Everyday Projects has remained steadfast in our goal to look at everyday life and make the mundane beautiful, through photography. We continue to find the extreme not nearly as prevalent as the familiar, the everyday. Please help us share this vision and support our global community of photographers. Thank you!
